Shoplifting Reflection
For my humanities project I was in was in a group with Taelon and Sherif. We studied the justice system. Are original plan was to find out about all the jobs in the legal system. To do that we found facts about some of the types of people, but we found out that there are too many types of jobs. Then each of us decided to look up our own crime. I chose shoplifting, Taelon chose illegal downloading, and sherif chose graffiti. When looking up shoplifting I found a few helpful sights, when finding facts I tried to find some for the consequences, reasons why they do it, and how they are caught. As a group we decided we wanted also to visit a police station. To do that we called the police station (not 911), they then passed us on to someone else, who then passed us on to someone else, who finally passed us on to the last person who help us set up a field trip some time in the next couple weeks. When writing my it wasn’t too hard because i was able to find the info easily, and before I finished it I showed it to other people so it can be looked over and help fix the errors. Then my paper was finally finished. Then not much later a police woman came to our school and helped set up the tour for us. The tour was at their police headquarters the officer showed us mutable labs and offices in the building, we saw the gun lab, the big room were they are taking 911 calls, and we even saw the police chiefs office. On that I did not actually learned that much, because what they talked about I mostly all ready new. When we presented our project we just gave everybody a little summery about what we wrote. I would have to say I am really happy on how my paper turned out, and this is some of my best work.
