Cooking day Reflection

For my food project I was going to make linguini alfredo. I was in a group with Taelon and we decided that we wanted to do a pasta then I said “ Why not linguini alfredo”, Tealon thought that was a good Idea. The next day our whole class went to the supermarket and bought our ingredients. Our recipe included a lot of heavy cream, and butter, but whatever. Then when I went home I got my supplies ready for tomorrow, including a pot, pan, rolling pin, and ext. The next was finally the day for cooking, but I found out that my partner had become sick, so I had to cook all by myself. When it was finally time for cooking I found it really hard to make the dough, because it would stick to your hands and not have enough water. Then I let the dough sit for 15 minutes, and after 15 minutes I rolled it out, which was also really hard. Since Taelon was not there my teacher helped me through the whole time cooking and I thank her a lot for that. I thought it was easier to make the alfredo sauce because there was not a whole lot manual labor involved. When the linguini alfredo was done I was really happy with what I accomplished. All my classmates said they loved it. What I learned from doing this is there is a lot of time and effort into making food. If I could have done this project differently I would have made something I was not that used to and something I would have never cooked before, maybe a meat of some sort. The value of this project was that we all came together and made food from scratch, and not just buy food that was all ready cooked for you.
