PH Testing
For our Ph testing we used probes to put in different liquids. When it was in the liquid a number would pop up on our Lab quest unit determining if it was a acid or base. The Ph scale is from 1 - 14, a 1 being a strong acid, a 14 being a strong base, and a 7 being neutral. Some times I was surprised on what I saw on the unit, such as Distilled water because I thought it would be neutral, but it was more acidy. That might have been because the probe was a little defective. It also said that someone else’s liquid was a negative number, but if it was that much of a strong acid it would of melted through the beaker. I really liked this because it was cool to find out if a certain liquid was a acid or base.
